About DevSparkling

Free developer tools, guides and games — in one place.

DevSparkling is an independent project that brings together the small utilities developers reach for every day — formatting a JSON payload, decoding a JWT, checking a subnet, comparing two SQL schemas — without installing anything, creating an account, or wading through clutter. Every tool runs in the browser and is free to use.

What you'll find here

  • Developer tools — beautifiers for JSON, XML, HTML, YAML and Markdown; Base64 converters; SQL analysis and code generation; network tools such as DNS lookup, SSL and HTTP header checks; encoding, hashing and JWT utilities; generators, converters and more.
  • Learn — in-depth guides, quick-reference cheatsheets and quizzes on programming languages, databases, networking and other developer topics.
  • Hardware — beginner-friendly material for Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico W and BBC micro:bit, plus PC building, laptops, servers and POS systems.
  • Games — typing tests, regex crosswords, Big-O guessing, Dev Wordle and other games to practise developer skills.

Privacy first

How the site is funded

DevSparkling is free. Hosting and development costs are covered by advertising (Google AdSense) and by optional donations from users who find the tools helpful.
