Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you visit DevSparkling (devsparkling.com), how it is used, and the choices you have. By using this site you agree to the practices described below.

How your tool input is processed

Tools are split into two categories:

  • Server-side tools (e.g. Text Beautifier, Base64, SQL Tools, Difference Checker, HTTP Headers Inspector, SSL Checker) — input is sent to this server, processed in memory to produce the result, and immediately discarded. Input and output are never stored, logged, or shared.
  • Client-side tools (e.g. DNS Lookup, Subnet Calculator, IP Geolocation, Hash Generator) — processing happens directly in your browser. Input does not pass through this server, though it may be sent to the third-party APIs listed below.
  • Webhook Tester — requests sent to your temporary webhook URL are held in server memory only so they can be shown to you. They are never written to disk or a database, and are deleted automatically after 24 hours of inactivity or when the server restarts.

Anonymous usage statistics

This site records anonymous, aggregated usage counts (e.g. how many times a tool was opened or used per day) and the optional "Was this helpful?" ratings. No input data, output data, IP addresses, or personally identifiable information is included in these statistics. The data is stored in a private database and is used solely to understand which tools are most useful. This processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in improving the service, and does not involve any personal data.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements, which helps keep the tools free.

Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: you will be shown a consent message, provided by Google, before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. You can accept, decline, or manage your choices, and change them at any time via the privacy settings link shown by that message. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and combating fraud and abuse.

Cookies and browser storage

This site itself does not set any cookies. Cookies may be set by Google AdSense as described above.

The site uses your browser's local storage for small convenience settings only. This data stays on your device and is never sent to the server:

  • Interface preferences (e.g. which panels on the home page are expanded) and your Question of the Day progress.
  • Session-only flags (cleared when you close the tab) that remember whether you already rated a tool or dismissed a notification.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings.

While reasonable technical measures are applied, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit confidential or highly sensitive information.

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. This site does not itself hold personal data about you; for data processed by Google for advertising, you can manage your choices through the consent message and Google Ads Settings.
